Play as a switchboard operator and connect as many calls as you can in your 4-minute shift on 'the board'!

How many calls can you connect? Try to get a high score!

Is it me or does anyone else have problems trying to do the tutorial?

This game is genuinely excellent! Thank you for making this, and I look forward to seeing what you do in the future!

Are you guys done working on the game or is the mode thats coverd up coming soon?

Hi! We had a really great time playing this and would love to have it on our site--if you're interested in non-exclusive licensing, please email me at psalcedo@coolmath.com. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Coolmath Games,

I've just sent you an email.

Thanks for reaching out!

Help- I can't pick up the right side of the cable :((( the screen just tints black until i click it again

Hi Kat!

We're sorry to hear that it isn't working for you :( Can you tell us if this is happening during the tutorial, on the main menu, in-game, or in all situations?

in game

It would help if you scroll all the way up on this page and then try to pick right side cable

Yo! I'm curious as to how you (guys) made the wire visuals! If you could give me an idea of how you achieved it, or send me the source, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Bounana!

We're using Godot, so it might be a little different depending on your engine.

The cable is a Line2D that has it's points populated by a Curve2D Node(generates bezier curves).

The second and third parameters on AddPoint are the in/out vector of the bezier curve.

Once we generate the points we apply them to the Line2Ds Points property. For the shadow we just copy the line 100 units down :)

Cheers,

Gallsy

Hey, tysm! I also use godot lol (if you guys didn't I wouldn'tve asked. )

Thanks for the response!

The game is super fun!!! Congratulations!!

I would ask an option to disable the [??] calls, I don't enjoy trying to memorize or finding the number in the Directory. Or maybe let the directory for only emergency calls and that is easier to search. Ooor maybe just make a column for the emergency numbers, so it's easier to find but you have to be quick for this ones.

Also, probably adding more visuals when a call is done. I usually forget to disconnect cables because the light is not really that easy to see. Maybe keeping the card while the call is active so the card has like three states "incoming", "connected" and "finished" so when you see the big "FINISHED" message you now can remove the cables to give space to more calls.

Thanks for making the game! I really enjoy playing it:)

Thanks for the feedback MarcoElz, glad to hear you enjoyed it!

We're actually working on some updates that should be done in a couple of weeks including a new game mode or two. I'll mention the call ended feedback to the other devs and we'll see what happens :)

Go Godot <3

Awesome! Do you know if a downloadable version will be available?

(+1)

Hi Toadsanime, we're working on some updates to the game and we'll add the downloadable version back then :)

If you'd like to download it now, the Itch.io app lets you download browser versions.

Crazy addictive and nice to look at! The visuals immediately reminded me of Papers, Please. :-) A couple times the calls didn't go through even though I connected them properly or it was a little too difficult to click on the right cord, but all in all it's amazing work in such a short amount of time! Didn't get a high score yet, but I'll keep trying.

The high scores are out of control! I don't even think I'd make it into the top 10 now :|

We're working on some updates at the moment, so hopefully, we can reproduce the issues you encountered and sort them out

Thanks for playing our game!

This is so good!!!!!!!

Thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed it :D

Congrats on making top 20 in the GMTK Jam! I wanted to reach out to ask if anyone on the dev team would be interested in participating in an interview about your experience during the jam? Interviews are conducted over Discord and presented live on Twitch.

Very fun and hard game! Sadly , I dislike games with timers, because of my anxiety, but but was still a really fun challenge. Good luck :)

(+1)

I'm glad you were still able to enjoy the challenge! If you're interested in playing this without a timer, we'll be looking at adding a 'chill' mode now that the jam has finished : )

That would be awesome! Im excited to play <3 Have a wonderful day!

In the browser version the game breaks after the tutorial :(

(+1)

Oh no! What browser were you using?

We've also supplied the desktop version if it doesn't work in the browser.

(+1)

I'm on a mac running firefox. Seems like Chrome works. Wow man that is a hard game, I wish there was a way to make the timers a tad bit slower, or decrease the amount of numbers.

(+1)

Glad to hear it's working now! It can be tricky, if you're running out of time, try to use the holds more to slow the timers down. We didn't have time to put it in the tutorial, but there's some notes about using it in the description :)
